Our friends at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a leading organization championing transparent and accountable government around the world, are now accepting applications for their 2013—2014 fellowship competition. NED invites activists, journalists and scholars from emerging and developing democracies to participate in Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellowships in Washington, DC. Over a period of five months, fellows will undertake independent research, deepen their understanding of democracy, and enhance their ability to promote democratic change. All fellows devote full time to their fellowship projects and receive a monthly fellowship payment, health insurance, travel assistance at the beginning and end of their fellowship, and research support. The deadline to apply is Monday, October 15, 2012.
