In a few days, the 2014 State of the Map Conference will kick off in Washington, D.C. from April 12th – 13th. Our Indaba team is excited to be a first time sponsor of this annual conference about the progress of OpenStreetMap and the open geo-data movement. Alongside sponsors such as Amazon Web Services, CartoDB and Maply, our team will explore what new technology tools are available to potentially integrate into our research platform.
We are especially eager to see the following sessions:
1. Advance CartoCSS Tricks: the Indaba team is working with CartoDB to integrate mapping into our platform within the coming months.
2.OpenStreetMap Infrastructure: Director of the Groundtruth Initiative (and fellow OpenGov Hub-ber!), Mikel Maron, will show OpenStreetMap’s power as infrastructure for collaborative mapping efforts beyond the software itself.
Indaba invites researchers, map enthusiasts and State of the Map attendees to visit us at our table during the conference. We can’t wait to hear from you!
