We are delighted to announce that Maria González de Asis has joined the board of Global Integrity in her official capacity as a representative of the World Bank. We’re honored that Maria has chosen to invest her time and energy in helping us to support progress toward open and accountable governance in countries and communities around the world.
Maria has twenty years of professional experience in managing and leading high-caliber and diverse teams to support priority reforms in the areas of transparency, accountability, political economy, knowledge management and efficiency in service delivery. As head of the Science of Delivery team at the World Bank and co-chairman and founder of the Global Delivery Initiative, she focuses on collaboration across the international development community to forge a new frontier in development efforts worldwide around adaptive implementation. This is very much in line with our strategy, so we are hugely excited about having her join our Board.
Maria has a Master’s degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University. She has produced a wide range of highly regarded publications such as “Operationalizing the Science of Delivery Agenda to Enhance Development Results” and “Coalition-Building to Fight Corruption” . In addition, she has received several recognitions for her work in different sectors including water, education and transport, and is a frequent speaker on governance issues in different fora, providing lectures at Stanford University, Kennedy School at Harvard, Georgetown University.
