Tendai Biti, the secretary general of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change, was arrested at Harare airport as he returned to the country from South Africa after a self-imposed absence of two months. He is being charged with treason, according to a police spokesman… for “falsely indicating” that Morgan Tsvangirai, the opposition candidate, had won the initial presidential election.
